Wisskirchen has secured a 30-year concession for cargo handling at Germany’s Cologne/Bonn Airport, starting in July this year.
The airport authority said: “With this step the airport is securing long-term growth and employment in the general cargo business.”
Germany-based Wisskirchen will lease the cargo terminal and receive a 30-year handling concession at Cologne/Bonn.
The airport authority statement said that the 40 airport employees who work in the cargo terminal will keep their jobs and remain employed by the airport, adding: “There will be no compulsory redundancies”.
