Volga-Dnepr Technics Moscow (VDTM) has completed the certification of a line maintenance station in Liege, Belgium, for aircraft registered in Bermuda.
As one of the largest Russian MRO providers, the Volga-Dnepr Group business unit is now able to carry out scheduled line maintenance for Boeing 737-300/400/500, Boeing 747-400 and Boeing 747-8 aircraft. Approved scope of work includes daily maintenance and defect elimination.
Pavel Tereschenkov, VDTM general director, said: “The set-up of the line maintenance station in Liege is a huge step forward for us because it makes accessible the European maintenance market for B737-300/400/500, B747-400 and B747-8 aircraft.
"Our employees managed to accomplish the whole certification process in a record-breaking five months, half of which was spent on the preparation and provision of facilities with the necessary equipment."
At present, VDTM is carrying out the maintenance of aircraft of AirBridgeCargo Airlines, which is a part of Volga-Dnepr Group and operates a fleet of 18 B747 freighters. In the near future, the station will also start providing MRO services for Atran Airlines’ B737s.
The company is willing to develop a range of services at the line maintenance station in Liege, including organisation of engine washing for the mentioned aircraft types, as well as to facilitate cooperation with other airline partners.
Volga-Dnepr Technics Moscow is a provider of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for Russian- and Western-built aircraft. This business was set up in 2008 on the basis of existing and new MRO stations to provide the centralisation and co-ordination of aircraft MRO activities within the Group and improve quality of service.
In Russia, Volga-Dnepr Technics Moscow provides services in three cities – Moscow (Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo and Vnukovo Airports), Krasnoyarsk (Yemelyanovo Airport) and Krasnodar (Pashkovsky Airport).
