The US Federal Aviation and Department of the Interior (DOI) have banned drone flights over ten historic sites such as the Statue of Liberty and Mount Rushmore.
The unmanned craft will no longer be allowed
The FAA and DOI have agreed to restrict within 400 feet of sites including the Hoover and other dams, national parks and memorials.
The FAA has also created an interactive map online showing the restrictions.
This is the first time the agency has imposed drone restrictions although flights are already banned over military.
