United Cargo is continuing to expand its network with the addition of several new destinations.
The carrier said that in June it would add flights to Dublin, Paris, Rome, Santiago and Zurich as it continues to expand operations following the suspension of many routes as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.
It said the move would offer connections to "key pharmaceutical and perishables markets".
Air cargo continues to be more important than ever," said United Cargo president Jan Krems. "This network expansion helps our customers continue to facilitate trade and contribute to global economic development and recovery. I'm proud of our team for mobilizing our cargo-only flights program that enables the shipment of critical goods that will support global economies."
The cargo division said that since it began its cargo-only programme on March 19, it has completed more than 2,500 cargo-only flights, transporting over 83m pounds of cargo.
It has over 1,100 cargo-only flights scheduled for the month of June, operating between six US hubs and over 20 cities all over the world.
In mid-May, the airline launched its first cargo-in-the-cabin flight after receiving approval from the FAA.
