Turkish Cargo has extended the validity period of its IATA CEIV Pharma certificate to 2022.
The airline first achieved the certification in 2016, but needed to be re-audited in order to extend its validity for a further three years.
In order to achieve re-certification, which applies to both the airline and its Ataturk Airport cargo facility, staff went through training with the Turkish Airlines Aviation Academy.
Turkish Cargo offers a cold-storage facility of 3,500 sq m at Ataturk and utilises temperature-controlled containers from Envirotainer and CSafe, as well as air conditioned containers from Opticooler, thermal dollies and disposable thermal sheets.
