Turkish Cargo's facilities in Istanbul have been certified to Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) standards.

The airline said that it had achieved the Group A TAPA certificate at Istanbul and Atatürk Airports.

TAPA said that FSR was establish to address the nature by which the theft sensitive products are handled in facilities, like warehouses.

"The FSR specifies the minimum acceptable security standard and the methods to be used in maintaining those standards," TAPA said

"It outlines the processes and specifications for service providers to attain TAPA certification for their facilities and transit operations. It is the intention of TAPA members to select Service Providers which meet or exceed TAPA certification requirements."

Turkish Cargo said the certificate shows that its Istanbul facilities meet customers' security expectations, that personnel and materials are secured, the mitigation of loss-related incident risk and that security is taken care of by professionals.

TÜV Rheinland provided independent audit services and issued the certificate.
