Turkish Cargo has transported several wild animals from the Biopark ŠTÍT breeding facility in Prague to Istanbul.
The four tigers, three lions, three cheetahs, two lynxes and one cougar were accompanied by their keepers and veterinarians. In addition, Turkish Cargo staff certified under IATA’s Live Animals Regulations joined the predators on their flight.
The airline highlighted its ratification of the United For Wildlife (Buckingham Palace) Declaration in 2017, which is aimed at preventing the illegal wildlife trade and increasing the industry’s awareness of the problem.
