Trinity Logistics USA and Etihad Airways have again joined forces to launch a weekly Boeing 777 freighter service between Hanoi in Vietnam and Ohio’s Rickenbacker airport (Columbus) in the US.
The US logistics operator and the Middle East carrier already operate a joint twice a week B777F to Asia, from Colombo in Sri Lanka to Rickenbacker. Both services are fixed long-term contracts and scheduled by Etihad.
The flights operate exclusively for Trinity Logistics and support “a multitude of clients from the fashion, retail, and high tech industries,” said the freight forwarder’s president, David Pereira.
The flight represents the first time that Hanoi and Columbus have been directly connected, said
Pereira, who added: “We expect our flight will be taken advantage of, for the speed and capacity it creates.”
Roberto Gilardoni, director of Etihad Cargo, commented: “We are excited to develop a new market with our strategic partner Trinity Logistics. Expectations remain high in terms of our mutual growth plans for the region.”
