The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) has appointed two new members to serve on the board of directors.

Priscilla Bueno, chief transformation officer of Craft Group, and Joseph Lawrence, founder and president of Airline Services International (ASI), will bring a fresh perspective to the board from the forwarding and GSSA sectors.

Bueno has been an executive at Craft for over 16 years. Craft has built a major operating wholesaler in ocean and airfreight within South America from the ground. Their presence is in fifteen South American cities and the company has four offices in North America (Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, and New Jersey).

ASI offers customisable GSSA services, designed to meet customer’s unique needs and exceed their expectations.

Prior to founding ASI, Lawrence worked at WardAir, Canada’s third largest passenger airline at the time. He was responsible for creating the airline’s cargo department.

After leaving WardAir in 1989, he launched ASI, representing both passenger and freighter airlines within Canada and the US.

In addition to launching WardAir Cargo, Lawrence and ASI, assisted in the formation of Canada 3000’s cargo division, and Air Transat's own cargo division.

Steven Polmans, TIACA chair, said: “The appointment of these newest Board Members allows us to have a more diverse Board than we have ever had. It underlines our commitment to ensuring each sector of our industry and region are truly represented. I am proud of the work that we have done to reach this achievement. We welcome Priscilla and Joe to the Board and look forward to the unique knowledge they will bring, which will help shape the future of the association and the future of our industry.”
