Emirates SkyCargo flew 90 horses from Belgium to China on a Boeing 777 freighter for the Shanghai leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour.

They were the latest to experience the Middle East carrier's specialised Emirates Equine product, described as equine business class for the "calm and comfortable" transportation of horses.

The horses were first led into specially designed horse stalls which were then loaded directly into the cargo aircraft for a smooth boarding experience.

On these flights, the horses were accommodated two per horse stall, with qualified vets and grooms available to travel with the horses during the flight.

The air cargo carrier worked with Peden Bloodstock, an equine transportation company. After the tournament, the horses once again boarded their Emirates SkyCargo flights back to Belgium.
