SUN Logistics has opened a Regulated Air Cargo Security Facility (RACSF) in Hong Kong in line with stricter cargo screening regulations.
The company said that its new screening facility is located as an annex of the Airport Freight Forwarding Centre.
From the start of March, all air cargo consignors in Hong Kong needed to be a validated known consignor, or 100% of their cargo is subject to screening before being loaded on an aircraft.
The stricter regulations are in line with ICAO requirements and have been phased in by the Hong Kong authorities over the last couple of years.
“The launch of this new RACSF allows us to continually evolve and optimise our total logistics services while introducing new technologies and processes to our clients with expert-guaranteed success,” said Kenneth Ko, chief executive of SUN Logistics. “We are very excited to implement our new warehouse services in order to meet the growing demand for professional air freight logistics solutions.”
