ST Engineering has delivered another Airbus A320-200 passenger to freighter (P2F) aircraft to Fly Vaayu.
The Singapore-based freighter conversion company confirmed it had delivered the narrowbody aircraft to UAE-based cargo airline Fly Vaayu in a LinkedIn post on 5 March.
“Our Aviation Asset Management team is proud to announce the delivery of another A320P2F conversion, completed at ST Engineering (Guangzhou). With a payload capacity of up to 21 tonnes and capability to carry ULDs on both upper and lower deck, the A320P2F is the freighter of choice for express and regional cargo operations," said ST Engineering.
”A huge thank you to our dedicated team for their hard work and to our valued customer, Fly Vaayu, a UAE-based cargo airline founded by Vaayu Group, for their trust. We look forward to supporting their cargo operations and future growth.”
Ras Al Khaimah International-based Fly Vaayu, part of lessor Vaayu Group, now has two A320-200P2Fs. The first A320P2F was delivered by ST Engineering in October last year.
In April 2024, Vaayu Group delivered the world’s second A320P2F to Cairo-based Sky Vision Airlines.
Vaayu's first A320P2F was leased to New Delhi-based Pradhaan Air Express, a sub-lessee of Vaayu, in July 2022.
The A320P2F can accommodate up to 10 [ULD] containers and one pallet position in the maindeck, and seven container positions in the lower deck. The aircraft has a gross payload of up to 21 tonnes at a maximum range of 1,850nm and total usable containerised volume of 159 m cu.
The Airbus P2F family was jointly developed by ST Engineering, Airbus and EFW.
