Airline cargo alliance SkyTeam Cargo has announced Peter Penseel of Delta Cargo will be the new chairperson of its cargo executive board.
Penseel replaces Teddy Zebitz, Saudia Cargo chief executive, who has served two terms in the role since 2021.
Penseel has more than three decades of experience in various roles across the air cargo, freight forwarding and logistics sectors, SkyTeam Cargo said in a press release.
At Delta, he serves as president of the cargo business and previously worked as chief operating officer for airfreight at CEVA Logistics.
Penseel’s career also includes leadership positions at Qatar Airways Cargo, DHL Global Forwarding and UTi Worldwide. He also serves as a member of the supervisory board of Maastricht Aachen Airport in the Netherlands.
“There are exciting developments ahead for SkyTeam Cargo, and I look forward to working with a world-class network of like-minded cargo carriers as we strive to take our global offering to new heights,” said Penseel.
