Pravin Singh has been appointed global head of cargo for new Saudi Arabian airline, Riyadh Air.
Singh was appointed in September and began his new role this month, according to a post on his LinkedIn profile.
"Pleased to share that I have now completed my first week in the office as Global Head of Cargo at Riyadh Air," said Singh on October 27.
Prior to joining Riyadh Air, Singh was self-employed in the US for six months, helping businesses expand, grow and become more efficient using digital solutions, he wrote on his LinkedIn profile.
Before this, he had a year's stint as senior vice president commercial for US-based Able Freight Services.
However, he has spent the bulk of his career - 27 years - at British Airways (BA) and IAG Cargo.
His 23 years at BA saw him working worldwide in several leadership roles, latterly as cargo regional commercial manager, Asia Pacific, India and Middle East
He later spent four years as vice president commercial Americas for IAG Cargo.
Set up by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), Riyadh Air was established in March 2023. The airline is hubbed at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and expects to begin commercial flights next year.
The airline has invested in 39 Boeing widebody 787-9 Dreamliners with options for 33 more of the model.
It has also today announced an order for 60 Airbus A321neo aircraft.
