Singapore Airlines (SIA) has confirmed that it will inaugurate a non-stop, A350 service linking its home hub of Singapore Changi International Airport with the Belgian capital of Brussels on October 25, 2020.
The route will be flown four times a week.
“As a key gateway to Asia, Singapore is an important new destination in our growing Asian network,” said Arnaud Feist, CEO of operator Brussels Airport Company.
SIA’s senior vice president marketing planning, Tan Kai Ping, added: “We are excited to launch services to Brussels – a city that is both an important economic and political hub in Europe.”
Currently, 11% of Belgian exports are destined for Asia and the trend is upwards. “To support the economic growth of our country and our businesses, Brussels Airport aims to expand its network,” a statement from Brussels Airport said.
