A panel on the challenges facing shippers using airfreight will feature at The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA)’s executive summit in Florida in May.
Lars Droog (above), recently appointed to chair TIACA’s new Shippers’ Advisory Committee, will lead the panel debate as part of the three-day conference.
Droog will also be the subject of a major interview in the April 18 edition of Air Cargo News.
“TIACA represents every segment of the air cargo supply chain, and our Executive Summit is the perfect platform for industry to come together and discuss the issues that matter,” said Doug Brittin, secretary general, TIACA.
Brittin will chair the opening panel, which explores the latest updates on global Pre-Loading Advance Cargo Information (PLACI) Programs.
Supply chain security, a look at the Air Automated Manifest System (AMS), and the impact of e-commerce will also feature in the Summit program.
Sessions are also being chaired by John DeBenedette, managing director, Worldwide Information Network (WIN); Glyn Hughes, global head of air cargo, International Air Cargo Association (IATA); and Elizabeth Merritt, director, cargo services at Airlines for America.
