Aerios, the air cargo charter software provider, has announced that Texas-based carrier GTA Air has integrated the Aerios Carrier App platform into its operations.
Aerios offers software that combines communications and air cargo charter operations into a single tool.
AI-driven data delivers actionable insights for better decision-making and market intelligence, the company believes, enabling charter professionals, brokers, and carriers to connect and work together more efficiently and maximise revenue for all parties.
As a Part 135 on-demand air cargo and charter operator which serves customers across the continental US, this latest customer addition demonstrates the system’s adaptability for smaller, narrowbody operators as well as large, widebody carriers, an Aerios statement said.
“This collaboration underscores Aerios’ vision to build a flexible product that caters to the whole cargo charter market,” it continued.
Operating in the US domestic on-demand air cargo charter market, GTA Air will be able to offer many benefits from the Aerios platform, the software provider said, including: a 66% reduction in quoting time; over-the-phone quoting; and improved quote accuracy – for example, integrating with flight planning software ensures quoted flight times reflect actual wind conditions and aircraft performance.
“Aerios has fundamentally changed how we quote ‘go now!’ trips,” said Ben Gunderman, president of GTA Air.
“In this business, being fast isn’t a luxury – it’s a necessity. We’re now able to turn quotes around in record time, confident they are accurate and competitive. It’s a massive advantage in the time-critical US charter market.”
Simon Watson, founder and chief executive of Aerios, added: “Every second matters when you’re competing in the US domestic on-demand market, so helping reduce the quoting time by several minutes can have a large commercial impact and help increase the chance of conversion.
“Working with the team at GTA Air has been fantastic. Their team has put our system through its paces and proven it works just as well for smaller, fast-moving operators as it does for major intercontinental widebody carriers.
“It’s an exciting validation of the system’s flexibility and positive real-world impact on speed.”
Cargojet launch
This latest news comes soon after the announcement at the start of March that freighter operator Cargojet would be the launch customer of its charter management system app.
At the time, Aerios said that Cargojet had participated in its alpha testing programme and after ”extensive trials” opted to integrate the Carrier App into its operations.
Aerios launched its Carrier App in September of last year.
The Carrier App is the first of a series of Aerios products for the wider charter market designed to help carriers distribute their capacity to market.
