Global air charter broker Air Charter Service (ACS) arranged more than 30,000 flights last year, marking the first time it had surpassed that milestone since it was founded in 1990.

Chris Leach, founder and chairman, noted: “In 2024 we arranged 30,290 flights, which is a magnificent achievement in one year.

“That means that, on average, a flight arranged by ACS took off somewhere around the world every 17 and a half minutes on every day in 2024.”

ACS handles a wide variety of charters, passenger and cargo, and last year was no different.

“The sheer diversity of what we flew and where we flew every year is also remarkable,” Leach said.

“Flights arranged by us were an integral part of evacuations and relief missions, helped international superstars complete world tours, and even relocated 39 rhinos for a crucial conservation project.”

ACS chartered the aircraft of more than 1,400 airlines last year, those aircraft flying to more than 200 countries.

ACS’s investment supported the growth in charter volumes. For example, it opened three new offices over the course of 2024 – in Manchester, Dublin and Munich.

Adding to a new Milan office which was opened earlier this month (February), more are planned for the near future, Leach confirmed.

ACS’s 35th office around the world, the Milan office is ACS’s first in Italy. When it opened, ACS pointed out that the potential market in Italy for the broker’s cargo and passenger operations is huge.

And with January’s flight numbers having been 12.1% up compared to January 2024, “We are in good shape for an even stronger 12 months in 2025,” Leach concluded.
