GLOBAL logistics company DB Schenker has expanded its rail transport services to Turkey, with a weekly train connection between Cologne, in Germany and Cerkezköy.
It was set up for the Turkish forwarder Ulusoy Logistics, which transferred its existing traffic from road to rail (the route was originally serviced by ferry and truck), says a company statement.
Demand will dictate whether it is increased to three times a week by the end of this year, it adds.
