Scandinavian airline SAS is extending its contract with ULD service provider CHEP Aerospace Solutions.
In future, SAS will use CHEP's 65kg containers which are over 20% lighter than its existing units and as a result will save over 13,000 tonnes of CO2 during the five-year term of the new agreement.
SAS head of network and revenue management, Kenneth Fuhrmann, said: "We have been very satisfied with CHEP's services, people and global network in the past five years, and are pleased the new agreement will enable us to use lightweight containers.”
