SAFE Air has selected Network Airline Services to provide GSA services in the UAE and Oman.
The Kenyan airline operates regular cargo services between Nairobi and Juba, in South Sudan and Mogadishu in Somalia and has recently jointly started a weekly service to Port Sudan and Djibouti.
The company was formed in 2007 and operates both passenger and cargo flights across Africa and the Middle East from its base in Nairobi, Kenya.
In the past, SAFE Air and Network Aviation Group have jointly operated charter flights across East Africa and the Horn of Africa supporting humanitarian efforts in Sudan, Somalia and Yemen.
Network has offices in Dubai and Muscat and will also support SAFE globally from the companies’ offices in Europe and USA.
This appointment marks Network’s first GSA representation of the airline.
According to the airline's website, it operates Boeing 727-200 cargo aircraft, which offer a capacity of about 20 tonnes.
The new contract with SAFE Air is the latest in a run of recent GSA contract wins for Network.
Most recently, Air Serbia Cargo appointed the company as its GSA in France.
