Developer RiverOak Strategic Partners (RSP) has temporarily withdrawn its development consent order (DCO) application to develop a cargo hub at disused Manston Airport in the south east of the UK.
RSP said the temporary withdrawal is not uncommon with DCOs and it is in dialogue with the Planning Inspectorate in order that the application can be resubmitted as soon as possible.
The application had been submitted on April 10 and included plans for 12,000 air cargo flights per year.
Local press reports suggest the withdrawal comes after the planning inspectorate asked for extra information on some of the points in the application.
Rival developers have also submitted plans for a housing development on the site.
