Resource Air Conversions has launched a new freighter conversion programme for the Beechcraft King Air 90 turboprop aircraft, to be named the RAC 90 Cargo King Air.
The conversion work involves the reinforcement and augmentation of the aircraft floor, the removal of pressurisation systems, windows are replaced with aluminium plugs and an additional 58 inch aft cargo door and a port side crew hatch are added.
The RAC 90 is available with the choice of two cargo door options depending on the end users' requirements.
The RAC90 Dual Cargo Door is a two piece horizontally opening configuration that is good for users requiring forklift access while loading.
The RAC90 Overhead Cargo door is a single piece vertically opening configuration that was designed for air ambulance capabilities or loose load cargo operators that allows vehicles to position closer to the aircraft.
The aircraft also features a honeycomb cargo floor and cargo liner to provide a low friction surface to aide loading.
