Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has appointed Céline Girard as head of airfreight operations & healthcare, Americas.

On her LinkedIn profile, Girard said she is experienced in freight forwarding, operations, customer service and quality management.

"With 18+ years of global logistics expertise, Céline has a proven track record in driving excellence in airfreight, healthcare, and operations,” said Hellmann. 

"In her new role, she’ll focus on boosting airfreight performance through operational excellence, automation, and innovation while enhancing our healthcare offerings across the Americas.”

Girard added: “I am very happy to join Hellman Worldwide Logistics as their new head of airfreight operations & healthcare for Americas Based in Mexico, I really look forward to contributing to the organisation and working together with the different countries and teams.”

She previously spent 10 years working at freight forwarder Kuehne and Nagel (K+N), most recently as air logistics general manager for Japan.

Here, she was responsible for the air logistics business unit in Japan and led a team in charge of business development, pricing & sales-related activities, export & import operations, cross-trade operations, systems and processes, and finance & administration.

Prior to working at K+N, she had jobs at Damco, DHL Global Forwarding and Panalpina.

Martin Habisreitinger will also take on the role of chief operating officer (COO) airfreight from 1 February.
