PEMCO World Air Services has redelivered of a 737-400 Combi aircraft to First Air, Canada’s Arctic and remote region air carrier.
PEMCO has previously converted two 737 Combi’s for First Air, and the work on the current airframe was completed at the passenger to freighter conversion specialist’s headquarters at Tampa International Airport.
This latest redelivery is capable of carrying four and a half pallets of freight and 72 passengers. PEMCO's design is the world's only certified Combi STC for a 737-400.
"We are very pleased to have PEMCO perform the fixed-Combi modification on our third B737-400 aircraft," stated First Air VP maintenance & engineering Rashwan Domloge.
