Air Transport Services Group has appointed James O'Grady as president of its leasing subsidiary, Air Transport International (ATI).
O'Grady, who takes up the role in early January 2016, will replace Dennis Manibusan (pictured below) who is retiring after a 45-year career in aviation, with the last three years as ATI president.
"Dennis has served the company well, having steered our airlines safely through some turbulent times," said Joe Hete, ATSG president and chief executive.
"We'll miss him, but we wish him the very best in retirement. ATI will be in good hands with Jim, who knows every facet of our airline operations."
O'Grady previously held the title of chief operating officer for ATI. Prior to that role, he served in management positions in other subsidiaries of ATSG, including managing director of Global Flight Support, a subsidiary of Airborne Global Solutions.
He joined subsidiary ABX Air in 1983. O'Grady holds bachelors and masters degrees in aeronautical science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
O'Grady is an FAA-licensed commercial pilot with instrument, single, and multi-engine ratings, and is a licensed aircraft dispatcher.
