Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) saw cargo and airmail throughput decrease by 2% over prior year in November to 466,000 tonnes.
The world's number one cargo hub by volume, handling 5m tonnes of cargo and mail in 2017, reported a 3% drop in imports and a 4% fall in exports last month.
Said an HKIA spokesperson: "Among the key trading regions, traffic to and from Europe and mainland China decreased the most during November. Transshipments, however, recorded moderate growth of 3%."
Over the first 11 months of 2018, HKIA handled 4.7m tonnes of cargo and airmail, representing a year-on-year increase of 2.2%.
On a rolling 12-month basis, HKIA said that cargo and airmail throughput increased by 2.5% to 5.1m tonnes.
