Dierk Näther

Dierk Näther is set to return to CargoLogic Germany as the all-cargo carrier's new managing director.

Air Cargo News sister title DVZ reports that Näther will take over the management of the Leipzig/Halle Airport-based freighter operator on August 1, succeeding Johannes Jähn, who surprisingly resigned his position earlier this week.

Näther is currently working for the Volga-Dnepr subsidiary Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Service (AMTES), which is based at Leipzig/Halle Airport.

For Näther, the appointment as managing director is a comeback at CLG — he was previously the operations manager of the company during its foundation in 2018 with the title, accountable manager.

Näther has been working in various positions at Leipzig Airport since the mid-1990s. From 2008 to 2015 he was the airport manager and then worked as a managing director at Ruslan Salis.

The airline gained AOC certification in September last year and launched services shortly after.

The carrier operates three B737-400Fs but has ambitions to grow its fleet to ten aircraft, targeting the express and e-commerce markets.
