ULD management firm Jettainer Americas has appointed Shailendar Kothari as its new managing director.
In his new role, Kothari is responsible for the company’s operational activities, as well as business and market opportunities in the Americas.
Kothari has replaced Andrew Kreider, who left Jettainer last October 2019 to take up a post at Unilode.
Jettainer Americas is based in Delaware and it also has branches in Dallas, Chicago, Miami, New York and Los Angeles.
During his career, Kothari worked for Pan-Am, Deutsche Lufthansa and the Lufthansa Group.
Most recently, he was director for global category management at Lufthansa where he took the responsibility for the Group companies’ procurement of all warehouses, aircraft handling services and logistics.
Thomas Sonntag, chief executive of Jettainer, commented: "With Kothari, we have been able to win an internationally recognized cargo expert, who has extensive operational and strategic experience and knowledge.
"He is well networked within the aviation and airfreight industry worldwide."
“I am delighted that Kothari will represent Jettainer Americas Inc. for North and South America and will successfully lead the company's business,” Sonntag added.
