Cargo carrier National Airlines has opted to use Descartes Velocity Mail system for its mail and e-commerce transportation tracking activities.
The cloud-based Descartes vMail solution automates the air mail shipment tracking process, from route generation to account reconciliation.
Ryan Dereska, business development manager - government & defense at National Airlines, said: “With Descartes vMail, we have a quality mail solution that enables us to better manage and grow our business.
"We’ve enhanced the service we provide to all parties through real-time access to shipment and delivery status, the ability to view consignments and manage account reconciliation.”
Mail handlers can record mail transportation events as they occur to provide real-time visibility.
Combining Descartes vMail with the Descartes Global Logistics Network helps carriers to meet additional advance security requirements that many countries have introduced such as, the Air Cargo Advance Screening (ACAS) programme that into effect on June 12, 2018, affecting shipments arriving in the US from a foreign location, the software firm said.
