Richard Mumford, head of aviation at leading national law firm Stevens and Bolton, has been appointed the new chairman of the Baltic Air Charter Association (BACA).
Mumford succeeds Tony Coe, who served as chairman for three years. He formally begins the role on March 17. Volker Meissner will continue to serve as deputy chairman.
Mumford said: “It is a privilege to take over the role of chairman of BACA from Tony Coe, who has served the association with such dedication and good wisdom over the past three years.”
He added: “BACA provides a fantastic platform for its members to meet and to share thoughts and concerns. The association has also taken a big step forward through the introduction of the accredited broker scheme and on-line training facility.
“We have spent the past couple of years exploring how we might harness the strength of the membership to the greater good of the market.
“With the support of the members and Council, we will continue this work through to the delivery of a number of tangible initiatives that will build on the strength of the BACA badge.”
