Drone operator Dronamics has appointed Roger Morris into the role of chief product officer.

Morris joins the company after having worked at Flash Forward Consulting, where he supported logistics providers and users on e-commerce delivery strategy, services and technology.

Morris previously worked in senior positions Royal Mail Parcels, where he was responsible for the redesign and relaunch of its parcel product. He was also involved in improving the tracking, visibility and customer communication, leading the company's marketing and channel strategy and developing new web- and API-based customer solutions.

Prior to that, he served at Cemex and DHL Express here he led international marketing strategy programmes and supported the integration of acquired businesses into Deutsche Post DHL.

Last month, Dronamics added three airports in Germany that will be part of its broader European Droneport Network.

The three airports are Paderborn-Lippstadt, Rostock–Laage and Airport Weeze, which the drone firm said could service a total of 12.7m people within a one-hour drive.

Dronamics said that its droneport network now totals 38 airports in 12 European countries.
