Cebu Pacific Air has renewed its contract with QuantumID Technologies to continue development of its SmartKargo cloud-based real-time management system.
The largest Philippine carrier, which was the first Asian airline to adopt the SmartKargo Cloud platform in 2013, says it will give its customers real-time shipment information and tools such as mobile apps that streamline customer experience and to manage their shipments from booking to destination.
SmartKargo has also helped Cebu manage and integrate new dedicated cargo capacity into its fleet, it says.
SmartKargo also provides paperless air waybills and single-screen booking for cargo agents and customers, along with simplified pricing and rate-making, real-time capacity management, configurable business intelligence and reporting and integrated cargo revenue accounting.
The platform also supports e-commerce partners via mobile applications as well as third party integration.
"The SmartKargo Cloud solution has equipped Cebu Cargo with the advanced digital tools to run our business," said Alex Reyes, the carrier’s vice president for commercial. "We are very pleased to continue the partnership, and look forward to sustained growth that SmartKargo has enabled."
Jay Shelat, executive vice president at QuantumID Technologies, added: "We at SmartKargo look forward to continue providing CEB Cargo with solutions and tools to grow their business. We are happy and grateful to be working with an outstanding team of cargo professionals and excellent leadership."
