Menzies Aviation has confirmed that Norwegian Air has renewed its cargo handling deal at Los Angeles International Airport.
Menzies Aviation handles 18,000 tonnes cargo a year for the carrier at the Californian gateway.
The deal will also see Menzies Aviation continuing to ground handle for Norwegian Air at Los Angeles, Newark Liberty, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood and Orlando international airports.
The contract renewal is for two years, with the collaboration between Norwegian Air and UK-headquartered Menzies Aviation dating back to 2014 at the four US gateways.
Giles Wilson, chief executive of John Menzies plc, said: “These renewals are proof of the great relationship Menzies Aviation has cultivated with Norwegian Air over the past five years and most importantly, the quality of service delivered by Menzies professionals at each airport.”
He added that he looked forward to “further strengthening our relationship with Norwegian over the next two years”.
Over the last couple of months, MenziesAviation has announced a number of cargo handling contract renewals with various carriers, including for Air China at San Francisco and Thai Cargo at a number of airports across Australia and New Zealand. The handler also celebrated recent growth in its cargo operations with contract wins with Korean Air and Qatar Airways.
