Turkish Cargo carried almost 4,000 tons of flowers across the globe as demand ramped up for Valentine's Day.

The airline said its flower volumes flourished between January 1 and February 10 as it transported the perishable product to/from various destinations/origins to Stansted, Narita, Maastricht and Riyadh, and from Quito to Amsterdam, Beijing, Manila, Jakarta and Taiwan, in addition to its charter flights.

The carrier said its services utilised "air-conditioned aircraft for maximum freshness and shelf-life with cold chain solutions".
