The logistics industry continues to see the trade war between the US and China as the biggest threat to global economic growth, despite the two countries recently signing phase one of a trade agreement.

A survey of 330 logistics and supply chain professionals, carried out by logistics firm Agility and consultancy Transport Intelligence, showed that 28% of respondents see a US-China trade war as the biggest threat to global growth in 2020.

US-Iranian tensions were next at 19%, followed by a slowdown in the Chinese economy 17%.

The list was rounded out by emerging market debt crisis at 16%, a technology war between east and west at 11% and Brexit at 8%.

Three of the leading threats involve China, which "highlights its growing importance to the global economy and its ability to affect the fortunes of other countries," Agility said in a release.
