AIR CARGO road-feeder supplier Jan De Rijk Logistics has signed a two-year airfreight trucking agreement with Israel’s CAL Cargo Air Lines.
CAL, described as as a ‘boutique and dynamic freighter company operating between the USA, Europe and Israel,’ will utilise the Dutch-based trucking company’s services to provide road links to Liége in Belgium.
Rami Marom, vice-president of ground operations at CAL, and Sjel Wijngaards, director of operations at Jan De Rijk Logistics, signed the new contract, which covers the airline’s entire trucking needs to and from its Liége hub.
CAL operates six-to-eight scheduled B747-200F weekly flights between Tel Aviv and Liége as well as daily flights between the Belgian hub and JFK, New York.
The company operates a single B747 weekly flight to JFK and five times a week B777 services to New York.
CAL also lands twice a week in Larnaca, Cyprus, as part of cooperation with Cyprus Airways.
In addition to scheduled flights, CAL offers charters to worldwide destinations.
