Imperial Logistics International is once again following its long-established tradition of supporting worthy causes at Christmas, with donations to three charities.
The child- and youth hospice Malteser Hospizzentrum St. Raphael, in Duisburg, will receive €5000 to support its ongoing work with families in which a child or young person is suffering from a progressive and potentially life-shortening illness.
Hauner Verein – the association that financially supports the Dr. von Haunerschen Children’s hospital in Munich – will also receive €5000 from Imperial Logistics International. Donations are used for medical equipment, additional staff, entertainment such as the clinic’s clowns and play facilities.
Also receiving an Imperial Logistics International donation of €5000 is the Neuenkirchen-Vörden-based Clemens-August-Jugendklinik, which is a specialist hospital for child and adolescent psychiatry that treats psychiatric and psychosomatic illnesses and behavioural disorders in an open setting. The clinic provides 67 inpatient and 14 day-care places, as well as an affiliated outpatient clinic.
Hakan Bicil, chief executive of Imperial’s Logistics International business, said: “We are delighted once again to support three worthy causes with traditional Imperial Christmas donations.
“This has been a tough two years for charities, which have been badly hit by the pandemic-led tightening of economies.
"We hope Imperial’s modest gifts will go some way to enabling these three institutions to continue their excellent and invaluable work for our communities.”
