MORE air cargo operators have backed the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) Multilateral e-AWB Agreement, as part of the body’s ongoing e-freight drive.
A total of 68 carriers and 824 forwarders have now signed the single standard document, allowing businesses to communicate electronically, rather than use a paper airwaybill.
IATA’s e-AWB penetration target for 2014 is 22 per cent.
