London Heathrow Airport saw its cargo volumes rise by 1.2% in September compared to the same month of last year, reaching 142,343 tonnes.
Heathrow also saw its August year on year cargo volumes rise by 1.2%.
Traffic routeing through the key market of North America experienced particularly good growth last month – at 5.7% compared to September 2017. Meanwhile, volumes on trade to the rest of European Union were up by 2.5% year on year.
Over the nine-month January to September period, cargo was up by 1.5% year on year to reach 1.26m tonnes.
Over those three quarters, cargo moving to/from Latin America performed best, up by 12.5% year on year.
