Canada-based overnight freight carrier Cargojet is celebrating its 15th year in business.
“It gives me great joy and pride in joining the Cargojet team, our customers, our shareholders and our Board of Directors in celebrating our 15th year anniversary,” announced Ajay Virmani, president and chief executive.
“We have had a tremendous journey over the past 15 years and with the continued hard work, dedication and loyalty of our team we are celebrating this milestone today.
“Cargojet remains well positioned to continue to profitably grow its business and to remain Canada's primary and dominant air cargo service provider for many years to come,” Virmani added.
In December, the Canadian freighter operator announced positively that it was expecting record peak season volumes from its overnight network customers. And, during 2016, it launched services to Latin America, via the US, and also Europe for Air Canada.
In April 2015, Cargojet won a contract to provide Canada Post with a domestic air network.
The carrier flies nearly 600 tonnes of cargo each business night, its network across North America served by a fleet of all-cargo aircraft.
