Road feeder services firm Georgi Group aims to grow its air cargo services with the opening of a new France office at Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) Airport.

The group has appointed Franck Mathout, former country manager France at AirBridgeCargo, as business development manager France.

Mathout will be responsible for developing international services, in particular connecting the CDG Hub to Georgi's core market in Germany, and offering air cargo supply chain solutions, combining own FTL/LTL trucking and handling services.

CDG Airport is one of Georgi's main distribution hubs in Europe.

Christian Georgi, head of sales, Georgi Transporte, commented: “I am very pleased to welcome Franck onboard as he brings a broad range of expertise and perspective for the various airfreight players. Franck (has) got a great customer-focus and is well connect within in the French community and surely will enlarge our products and values.”

The Georgi Group consists of four companies which offer Road Feeder Service-related (RFS) services. The companies include Georgi Transporte, Georgi Transporte s.r.o., Connex Aircargo and Truck Center Mörfelden Network.
