French transport and logistics firm Geodis has appointed François Bottin as executive vice president, digital and technology.

He will be a member of the Geodis Group’s management board, which is chaired by Marie-Christine Lombard, Geodis' chief executive.

Bottin joined Geodis in 2020 as IT director of the Geodis 'Digital Solutions Factory'. Then in October 2022 he was promoted to chief global information system and transformation officer.

Bottin had responsibility for Group applications and the roll-out of digital and data transformation programmes.

He has 25 years' experience in the management of digital, data and IT programmes and in managing international teams in the transport and logistics sector.

Bottin's career path includes key programme and team management positions with CMA CGM. He played a leading role in the shipping firm's digitalisation process, covering applications, methodology, processes and HR.
