Logistics firm GEFCO will open a new Amsterdam warehouse near Schiphol, in June, to support expansion in its air and sea business operations.
The 7,000 sq m facility will provide storage and transport management services for customers across the high tech and home equipment; aerospace and defence; automotive; life sciences and healthcare; bodycare; and retail and fashion sectors.
The centre provides integrated logistics operations for standard, dangerous or temperature-controlled goods including time critical services for urgent shipments.
"Its close proximity to Schiphol Airport will provide fast and efficient inbound and outbound connections, with the additional benefit of being close to Amsterdam and Rotterdam ocean ports," the company said.
The facility also provides 24/7 monitoring security monitoring, is Good Distribution Practice (GDP) compliant and ISO 9001:2015 certified.
"This site complements GEFCO Air and Sea’s temperature-controlled, life sciences and healthcare distribution centres at Heathrow, and Frankfurt, Germany," the forwarder explained.
