Time-critical logistics firm time:matters has opened an office in France as it looks to strengthen its presence in western Europe.
The new office is located near Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) Airport and will be led by Pieter-Jaap Zijlstra, regional director western Europe.
The CDG office will also have a dedicated country manager for France as well as teams for sales, operations, customer service and business development.
“These teams will support customers along the entire supply chain,” the company said in a press release. “This includes the creation of air waybills, local invoicing, and end-to-end transport processing, including pickup, delivery, and customs clearance.”
Target markets include life sciences, semiconductor manufacturing, automotive, and aerospace industries.
Zijlstra said: “France is a strong airfreight market with a high demand for time-critical logistics services. With our in-depth industry knowledge and strong global network, we are able to offer our customers smarter, faster, more customized, and highly competitive solutions.”
Services offered from the new office include Next Flight Out (NFO) and On Board Courier (OBC) and customised charter solutions, including door-to-door transport.
As well as expanding its presence, the company has also been working on developing its digital services.
Last year, time:matters partnered with cargo.one on the use of its online booking platform.
The partnership will give time:matters' team the ability to quote and book capacity from over 60 airlines on a 24/7 basis, which the company hopes will reduce the time it takes to quote.
