Time-critical logistics firm Global Transport Solutions (GTS) has acquired forwarder Cargo Holland as it looks to consolidate its presence in the Netherlands.
Cargo Holland specialises in airfreight solutions and is located at Schiphol Airport. The forwarder will be integrated into GTS' third-party logistics time-critical service provider, Best Global Logistics.
Cargo Holland chief executive Marc Kort will be installed as managing director of both Cargo Holland and Best Global Logistics Netherlands.
GTS chief executive John Burgstra said: “The acquisition further solidifies our presence in the Netherlands, by reinforcing our freight forwarding operation and airfreight capabilities.
"Cargo Holland has an experienced team in place with a great cultural fit with Best Global Logistics.
"I have no doubt that the Cargo Holland team will continue to thrive as part of GTS and Best Global Logistics (GTS’ 3PL division), under Marc’s continued leadership and entrepreneurial drive.”

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
GTS is the holding company of Marinetrans and Best Global Logistics, which are have a geographical presence on all continents and are mainly focused on marine spare parts and other time-critical and complex logistics.
