Andy Fitt has been appointed as the new managing director of Yusen Logistics UK (YL UK).
After serving over three years with the business, Fitt succeeds Kevin Appleton, who is now the chairman of the UK arm of the Japan-based global logistics operator.
A company spokesperson said: "During this time, Andy has made a substantial contribution to improving YL UK business performance levels through roles as business unit director and, most recently, deputy managing director.
"With previous positions held at CEVA, Norbert Dentressangle UK and TNT Logistics, Andy brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role, and is committed to seeing through their strategic growth agenda over the coming few years."
Fitt commented: “I am excited to take on this responsibility to continue driving YL UK forwards. The UK is a highly competitive and challenging market, with strategic importance for customers in all of our core vertical markets.
“I look forward to further enhancing our performance and delivering on our M&A strategy; whilst ensuring business continuity through future challenges. As always, we will place customers at the heart of our business.”
