Cold chain ULD provider Envirotainer has upgraded its Liège network station to also be able to handle the RAP e2 container.

Liège is the 34th location in the Envirotainer network to carry the RAP e2 solution and the upgrade will help to reduce the need to truck the containers between stations.

Niklas Lönnkvist, head of sales, Europe Middle East and Africa, said: "Europe is the number one pharmaceutical region in the world, with exports exceeding €100bn in 2017.

"The strongest reason for upgrading our Liège (LGG) station to also handle our RAP e2, even though we already have 15 RAP e2 stations in Europe, is purely based on customer needs. We wanted to create a significantly better customer experience for our pharmaceutical customers by reducing the need for trucking units between stations.

“It’s great to know that we both have the financial muscles as well as the willingness to go the extra mile to help our customers.”

Envirotainer said its RAP e2 container has to date shipped over 150,000 pallets with 0.00% product loss.
