Envirotainer has launched the RAP version of its Releye temperature-controlled container, with Swiss WorldCargo one of the first airlines to approve its usage.
The RAP version of the Releye container is the largest model of the container and can hold five pallets, compared with the existing 2021 model's three pallets.
The company pointed out that the larger capacity means the container is more efficient than smaller temperature-controlled containers and offers a lower carbon footprint.
The new container is monitored through a control tower service as standard.
The unit uses rechargeable batteries, with a single battery charge able to power the system for over 170 hours.
It also offers live monitoring for product condition, location, temperature, humidity, battery levels, door openings, if cargo is loaded or not, and the progress of shipments.
Swiss WorldCargo is one of the first carriers to approve the Releye RAP container for its operations and has added it to its portfolio.
