Emirates is to add an extra flight to its Dubai-Algiers schedule making it a seven days a week service from December 13. The new service will operate every Wednesday with a Boeing 777-300.
Emirates senior vice-president commercial operations for Africa, Orhan Abbas, said that the Algiers flight offered connections to and from the Middle East, Far East, West Asia, Indian Ocean and Australia, including Kuwait, Jeddah, Beijing, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai, Mumbai, Sydney and Melbourne, adding: “Algeria will become the fourth destination in north Africa to have a daily frequency, along with Casablanca, Tunis and Khartoum.”
Emirates launched services to Algiers in March 2013 and since then has carried nearly 27,000 tonnes of cargo.
